Cocktail Hour- Pineapple Jalapeño Martini

OOOOHhhh...Caliente!  Y'all, this is a spicy martini (done in my best Italian dialect, saying "this is a spicy meatball!")  He he...well, it is spicy!

If you like a sweet and spicy mix, like me, this is a great cocktail for ya.  You can tone the heat down by seeding your pepper before muddling! 😊

Recipe:

  • 1 jalapeño sliced
  • 1 lime sliced and 1 lime juiced
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup....you can do a whole oz if you like super sweet
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz pineapple juice

Ok...So take 1/2 the sliced jalapeño, a couple slices of lime and thrown in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.  Then, add 1/2-1 oz of lime juice and the simple syrup. Now the fun...muddle these ingredients together with a "muddler."  If you don't have a muddler, use a blunt end of a wooden spoon or something that will squeeze out the juices and flavor of the peppers and lime.  After muddling, fill shaker 2/3 with ice.  Now, add the vodka and pineapple juice and shake, shake, shake.  Strain into a martini glass.  Now...this is important.  Float a small slice of the jalapeño in the top of the martini.  You can also garnish with a lime or pineapple slice on the rim.  The pepper is so people know that this drink may be spicy!!  Some people don't like spicy...crazy, I know!  But this will warn them so they don't go cryin' on ya! Enjoy!!

Be sure to give well, give often, and give personalized!

XOXO,

Rhonda
